Ligue 1 has been back since Friday. While OM was surprised this Friday on the lawn of Rennes, OL and AS Monaco won respectively against Lens and Le Havre this Saturday. For the last game of the day, the OGC Nice received the Toulouse FC. A particular match for the Aiglons who have just been eliminated in the third preliminary round of the Champions League earlier in the week against Benfica. Inevitably, faced with their supporters, Franck Haise’s men were keen to redeem themselves in front of purple Alikes in Ligue 1.
From the outset, the Azureans have put intensity. Helped by the return of Hicham Boudaoui in the midfield, Nice obtained a first opportunity in the 12th minute of play thanks to the vicious center of Jansson after a corner played in two. A few minutes later, the gym made a huge fear. On a harmless pass from Juma Bah, the ball was not mastered by Yehvann Diouf and crashed on the post before going along the goal line (18th). Close to scoring on this lunar occasion, the Téfecé lit the last wick of the first period with the number of a Yann Gboho in legs during the first act (45+1st).
Nice did not find the fault and was punished
Upon returning from the locker room, Nice returned with much better intentions. As a sleepy during the first act, the premises gave the heating blue while Franck Haise expressed his dissatisfaction after the first period at the Ligue 1+ microphone. Under the leadership of an inspired Bouanani, Nice almost opened the scoring but the young Algerian international saw his shot flee the frame of a few centimeters (50th). A few minutes later, the powerful strike from his compatriot Boudaoui was rejected by the exceptional parade of Guillaume Restres (56th). After this highlight on the return from the locker room, the pace has further fell.
Definitely little inspired in the development of their offensives, the Nice collective has also not shown a fierce determination at the idea of making the difference. For his part, Toulouse has made a round back before activating against. After a first alert of Vossah (75th), Nice was surprised at the very end of the game. After a good percussion of Gboho, the ball returned to Djibril Sidibé at the second post. Without calculation, the 2018 world champion sent a heavy strike to open the scoring and allow his family to fire in mind at the best of moments (90th). Despite eight minutes of additional time, the score has no longer evolved and Toulouse offered a prestigious victory outside to launch its season well. For his part, Nice, author of a disappointing match, confirms his bad start of cuvée and bowed in his first game in the elite this season.
