These basketball camps are therefore accompanied by a “support cell for young people wishing to continue their school and sports career in the United States”. Besides the sports component, the concept implemented therefore indicates young people what they must undertake to continue to dream of the big league.
Evaluation like in the USA
In addition to these “Summer Camps”, Camara and her staff also organize “combine”. These test days are inspired by the NBA. They allow young Belgians to have their physical, technical and athletic capacities, their shoot, their relaxation, their dribble, their measurements, to allow them to know where to improve. They are filmed there, in order to canvass possible recruiters in American colleges. “Maybe it’s you, the next revelation,” says the Portland player.
