The Tour de France ended with a last Dantesque stage around the Butte Montmartre and rue Lepic. A craze shared by the runners who did not go unnoticed on the side of Marion Rousse, the patron of the large female loop.
A year after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Montmartre Butte and the iconic rue Lepic were again “requisitioned” during the layout of the last stage of the Tour de France before a more traditional arrival on the Champs-Élysées. And the least we can say is that this change of approach was praised by the spectators and largely by the runners so that the organizers of the big loop very recently mentioned the idea of returning to it next year. Before seeing if they will reach their end, another race could also borrow this special route. Indeed, the Tour de France women is currently arguing and Marion Rousse, the owner of the event, was not insensitive to the idea of making the runners pass.
A different course
