After a few kilometers, a group of several runners composed in particular of Dylan Vandenstorme (Team Flanders – Baloise), Jens Reynders (Wagner Bazin WB), Yorben Lauryssen (Pauwels Sauzen – Cibel Clementines) and Gianni Marchand (Tarteletto -Isorex), took the lead. They counted up to 2 minutes 30 minutes ahead of the peloton before being taken up little by little.
Jenno Berckmoes (Lotto) won the Tour de Belgium (2.Pro), the 4th and penultimate stage, which ended at the top of the Durbuy Wall (0.6km at 10.2%) on Saturday.
43km from the finish, Orluis Aurlar (Movistar Team) launched the festivities by placing an attack. Filippo Baroncini retaliated five kilometers later taking with him, Marco Frigo (Israel-Prime Tech) and Jenno Berckes from the Lotto formation. They kept the peloton at 30-40 seconds, without ever being caught.
At the end of the ascent of the Huy wall, it was finally Jenno Berckmoes who won this 4th stage of the Tour of Belgium. The 24 -year -old Gantois offered his 1st victory of the season, his 3rd in career.
On Sunday, the Tour will end with a stage of 183.4 kilometers around Brussels. It will again be a circuit, to be traveled five times, to the finish line under the atomium. The winner of this 2025 edition will succeed the Norwegian Soren Waerennskjold (UNO-X Mobility) in the record.
