State services (ARS, Prefecture, DDPP, Public Health France) continue their investigations to find the origin of contamination. “Analyzes are underway for six Saint-Quentinoises butchers, the activity of which has been preventively suspended,” said the ARS. “Food surveys on the origin of contamination carried out in the past two days have not highlighted new businesses. »»
At this stage, the most likely cause of contamination is meat consumption. “School catering is not targeted in any of the cases identified,” says ARS. “However, the origin of the meat is not yet known, it is necessary to take into account all the places where one or more contaminated people have consumed. The suspension is effective while the analyzes of the samples make it possible to remove the doubt or, on the contrary, to confirm contamination.
