The incident took place this Monday, July 21, around 2 p.m. near Deba in the Spanish Basque Country
Two French people experienced a big fright, this Monday, July 21, while he was aboard a sailboat called “Azurea”.
According to information by Basque Country, the ship was attacked in the afternoon, around 2 p.m. by orcas, while it was two nautical miles from the Spanish Basque coasts. On board, was a 60 -year -old person in particular.
“May Day”
Faced with this situation, a help message (“May Day”) was sent by the occupants of the sailboat. The latter were then able to be rescued by the Spanish maritime rescue and security company (the equivalent of the SNSM), in order to be brought back to the port of Getaria.
