A Montrealer who helped her friend flee the country after a fatal punch during a banal altercation in the parking lot of the legendary Orange Julep restaurant will receive two years in prison.
All dressed in black, Yasser Sali, 28, pleaded guilty to two accusations of complicity after the fact on Friday afternoon at the Montreal courthouse.
On May 31, 2023, at the end of the evening, Andrei Petohov returned from work in the company of two colleagues when an Audi A7 carried out a dangerous maneuver and cut the Dodge Caravan which he led.

Yasser Sali was then in the luxury vehicle alongside his friends Ismail Karaoui and Nedjem Eddine Khirat. They parked in the parking lot of the Orange Julep restaurant, on Boulevard Décarie.

Fatal punch
A verbal dispute then engaged between the 50 -year -old father and the occupants of the Audi.

On the run
The same day, Ismail Karaoui obtained a single flight to Italy. Yasser Sali went to renew him at Montreal-Trudeau airport.
