CARTE – While Volodymyr Zelensky meets Donald Trump on Monday on Monday, the Ukrainians managed to counterattack after the dangerous Russian operation last week. But the situation remains critical to Pokrovsk.
While, on the diplomatic front, Volodymyr Zelensky is in Washington to discuss with Donald Trump any peace negotiations, a rare good news comes on the military front on the side of kyiv. The Ukrainian army has indeed managed to repel the Russian forces which had managed to unravel the new fortifications north of Pokrovsk in Donbass. The thrust of about fifteen kilometers in a few days had even allowed the Russians to approach only a stone’s throw from the city of Dobropillia, 10 kilometers north of Pokrovsk, and to cut the highway at least the highway between Dobropillia and Kramatorsk, the Ukrainian capital of Donbass since the fall in 2014 of Donetsk.
The Ukrainians quickly made reinforcement reinforcements. The 12th Azov brigade, the 92nd assault brigade, elements of the 93rd mechanized brigade and four other battalions (Da Vinci and Kord in particular)…
