* General Motors GM.N, Ford FN, Stellantis Stlam.MI – A group representing the three companies expressed its concerns on a trade agreement on Tuesday which could reduce customs duties on automobile imports from Japan, while maintaining the imports from Canada and Mexico at 25%.
* Apple AAPPL.O, Alphabet Googl.O – The British Competition Regulatory Authority said that it provided for Apple and Google the status “strategic actor on the market” (Strategic Market Status) because of their role in mobile ecosystems, while it strengthens its control over what it describes as “duopoly”.
* Hilton Worldwide HLT.N noted its profit prospects for 2025 on Wednesday thanks to a rebound in tourism demand in the United States after a slowdown in March and April due to the price quarrels triggered by President Donald Trump, who prompted the Americans to reduce their leisure expenses.
* AT&T TN has exceeded quarterly profits estimates and has recorded more mobile subscribers than expected, thanks to an influx of customers for its group offers at reduced prices combining 5G mobile and high speed fiber packages.
* Amazon Amzn.O closes its artificial intelligence laboratory in Shanghai, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.
