Using the password manager will become simpler with this little tip

GBOARD adds a new shortcut that allows you to travel the recorded passwords in the Google account. An option not only practical, but which should also bypass certain bugs.

This is a very practical novelty for the Gboard keyboard identified by 9to5Google : the possibility of manually looking from the keyboard in your recorded passwords and payment information.

As a reminder, on Android, you can change the default keyboard and one of the user favorites is none other than the keyboard of Google Pixel, Gboard for Google Keyboard, the Google keyboard in good French.

So far, like most smartphones keyboards, Gboard could offer you passwords and payment methods from your favorite password manager or those stored in your Google account. A very practical feature to save time and avoid opening a second application just to enter a password or a bank card number.

Gboard concerns (and any other keyboard) with automatic filling

Yes, but now, the password manager is not infallible and it can happen to make some mistakes. For example, he can suggest the wrong password, or not trigger at all. Users can also have accumulated several different passwords for one and the same service with the years, which can lead the keyboard to suggest the bad.

So many reasons that have undoubtedly pushed Google to add this novelty: the possibility of looking in the recorded passwords of Google.

The solution: search from the keyboard

In order to access this new menu, Google has added a new shortcut to place at the top of the screen. After clicking on it, GBOARD gives you the choice between your passwords or your payment methods.

By clicking, you access the complete list of passwords related to the application you are using at the moment, which avoids being drowned.

For the time being, it seems that GBOARD offers the possibility of seeking only in the passwords saved on your Google account. The ideal would be to offer a solution to integrate third -party managers like Bitwarden or 1Password.
