A macabre discovery was made this Wednesday, in Choisy-le-Roi, in Val-de-Marne, a few kilometers from Paris. Shortly before 1 p.m., an RER C user alerted the police after seeing, from a train, which seemed to be the body of a man floating in the Seine. He directs the emergency services up to 1, rue du Docteur-Roux.
Quickly dispatched on the spot, local police officers have identified a submerged body. The river brigade, called in reinforcement to recover the corpse of this man with a relaxed skull, then made a series of chilling discoveries: a second body, located about fifty meters from the first, then a third, stuck in branches, and finally a fourth, deriving through the current.
Only one body was naked
Still according to our information, the four victims are adult men. Three were completely dressed, while a fourth wore neither pants nor underwear. The bodies, immersed for several days, were transported to the Paris Medical Institute for identification and autopsy.
Several local judicial police officers, the departmental judicial police service and a substitute for the prosecutor went on the spot to make the findings. It is the reception and investigative service of proximity (SAIP) of Choisy-le-Roi that has been in charge of the investigation, when nothing seems to indicate for the moment criminal traces.
The mayor of Choisy-le-Roi, Tonino Panetta (LR), tells the Parisian that “the bodies were in an advanced state of degradation”, which indicates “that they had to be in the water for several days”. The mayor also believes that “they have undoubtedly been able to derive far enough”. But if these bodies had really derived over a long distance, how to explain that they were found so close to each other?
