It is a real pioneer who died. Beat Perren, the founder of Air Zermatt in 1968, died on July 29 at 95.

The name of the one who was a pharmacist in the Valais commune is synonymous with many revolutionary advances in alpine rescue. “Countless lives have been saved thanks to his vision and actions. Beat inspired our collaborators, nourished by ideas, encouraged courage and thus shaped a corporate culture which serves as a model far beyond Valais. ”
The company describes it as “accessible, interested, lively and still in motion. Imputure was foreign to him, except with his loved ones. ” He had taken a little step back on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Air Zermatt, in 2018 and entrusted the chairmanship of the board of directors to his son Philipp. “Beat Perren was a phenomenon: an avant-garde thinker, a man of action, a person with an attitude and a heart,” concludes Air Zermatt.
