VAT offices and Montreal Vandalized Journal

Acts of vandalism were perpetrated on Thursday evening against premises of the Journal de Montréal and VAT, rue Frontenac, in the district of Plateau-Mont-Royal. The main door and several windows of the building were shattered and paint was sprayed on the building.

The facts occurred around 10:30 p.m. checks were made in the possible surveillance cameras located near the premisessaid Caroline Chevrefils, spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service.

Employees were present on the scene, but no one was injured, specifies the SPVM who questions witnesses. No arrests have taken place for the moment.

The main door and several windows were broken and sprayed with paint at the VAT premises in Montreal on July 31, 2025.

Shortly before a demonstration related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict had held in front of the premises of these media, but it is impossible to say for the moment what were the motivations of the thugs and if the two events are linked.

The event took place in peace.
