Until the end of 2026 (motorists should circulate on the other part of the apron from 2026), it is planned to replace the coatings and the waterproofing, to repair the deck slab, to replace the dilation joints, to change the slides with an aesthetic character, to place on certain areas of metal anti-danter screens (in the direction versis), to replace the “Skirt”, to expand the viaduct to obtain emergency stop bands 3.5 m wide instead of 2.5 m to Saint-Vith (adding two beams) and to make repairs on the lower side.
The work dates from the 1970s. The Lambermont viaduct, 700 meters long and 27.5 meters wide, is a strategic axis connecting Battice and Saint-Vith. Each day, this bridge accommodates nearly 55,500 vehicles in both sentence cumulative.
