“We will learn from our mistakes”, Yabusele tells of two faces before the Eurobasket

The French hung on to the end to win this Saturday against Spain for their second friendly match against the Roja (78-73). Led 16 points at halftime, the Blues came from far away. Enough to learn from the lessons before the Eurobasket on August 27.

Basketball fans will have gone through all the emotions during the fourth preparation match of France for the Eurobasket. Led 16 points at halftime for their second meeting against Spain, Frédéric Fludhoux ‘men ended up winning in pain (78-73).

“We had started badly, we were jostling with us, we expected it. At halftime we thought things, we knew we had to put a second face. We really fought to come back,” said Guerschon Yabusele after the microphone of the L’Equipe chain.

“We all brought something today”

“It’s not easy against a team like this but we have dropped nothing and we played together. We saw superb actions at the end. We all brought something today, it’s a team victory. We are a young group, a new generation, we will learn from our mistakes. Everyone deserves their place and give something,” said the Blues captain. “We are starting to know each other, we play on our qualities, we are very good and we all get along very well, it’s simple,” said Bilal Coulibaly, author of 13 points this Saturday evening.

“At the Eurobasket, we want to win all the matches, go with this state of mind as in the second half and start the hard-habit because we have this bad habit of starting badly. We will make a better taff” launched the back of the Wizards with determination. After a last preparation match against Greece on August 24, the Blues will start their Eurobasket on August 28 against Belgium.

Unfortunately, the French will be deprived of their pivot Vincent Poirier, hit in the right knee, undermining their workforce in this position. “We lost Vincent but we’re going to play together and we’re going to cover this lack. Everyone gets really good with him, we wish him good luck and all the best for his recovery,” did not fail to slip Guerschon Yabusele.
