France is preparing for the return of the heat wave, with formidable temperatures: up to 40 degrees in the southwest from Thursday. In Switzerland also the heat will be there, but the situation promises to be more contrasted.

Not really, nuance Christophe Salamin, meteorologist and forecastist at Météosuisse: “Even if a net redoux is expected with high temperatures, the heat will be attenuated by fresh nights.” The specialist nevertheless speaks of a “delicate” situation between Thursday and Sunday, because Switzerland is “at the limit” of the air mass which will warm the south of Europe.
As a reminder, each country has its own definition of the heat wave.
