Several Western countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, other NATO allies as well as Austria, have published a joint declaration condemning the activities of the Iranian intelligence services. They claim that these services are increasingly carrying out threatening actions such as assassinations, kidnappings and intimidation aimed at people in Europe and North America. This behavior is considered to be a direct violation of the sovereignty of signatory countries.
