In Colorado, in the United States, many rabbits appeared with outgrowths on their heads, as identified by several American media, including the New York Times. Black protuberances in the shape of tentacles beyond their skull or their mouth, which has led many Internet users to compare them to mutants and to worry about these creatures to say the least unsightly.
But is there in reality to worry? Not really, if we believe Kara Van Hoose, spokesperson for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, who manages the system of state parks and the fauna of the American state. Questioned by the New York daily newspaper, she explains that the rabbits in question are simply infected with the papillomavirus of the white rabbit (or viruses of the shop papilloma), which is characterized by the presence of these keratinized warts in the neck, the shoulders, the ears or the abdomen, which can evolve to look like these big horns.
