The week should be rainy and rich in thunderstorms, especially in eastern France. Temperatures will also start to drop and they will even sometimes be below seasonal normal.
The end of the summer is approaching in mainland France and this is felt: the sun sets up earlier and earlier and temperatures are starting to decrease in certain regions. From this week, and especially after the thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday, the feeling should be rather fall.
• Monday, the most beautiful day of the week
Lovers of sun and heat will have to enjoy Monday day: it will be the most beautiful and hottest of the week. It will be fine almost everywhere in France, with up to 30 ° C in Lyon, 29 ° C in Rennes, 26 ° C in Amiens or 27 ° C in Auxerre. Clouds are still expected in the Southeast, especially in Montpellier, Marseille or Nice.
There could also be a few thunderstorms in the southwest. Eight departments are thus in yellow vigilance for thunderstorms.
• Tuesday, the start of thunderstorms
Tuesday will mark the start of the stormy period which will extend until Thursday, especially in the southern half of France. It should be beautiful in the northern half, despite some scattered rains around Rouen and Brest.
Thunderstorms, especially around Vichy, Lyon, Toulouse and Perpignan, could be violent locally, due to an important conflict of air masses. In terms of temperatures, they will be seasonal. In the afternoon, it will be around 28 ° C in Corsica, 26 ° C in Paris and between 26 and 28 ° C in the Grand Est.
• Storm, clouds and rain Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday, the possible thunderstorms extend in a line which leaves from Toulouse and which goes to Strasbourg. It will therefore be necessary to be careful in the afternoon until evening. In the rest of the country, there will not be much sun, except around Finistère and the Côte d’Azur.
Thursday, we will have to take out the umbrella. All of mainland France will be affected by rains, more or less important in the morning and afternoon. Thunderstorms could continue in the East, especially in the southeast quarter.
Between Tuesday and Thursday, temperatures will drop in many regions with locally 10 degrees less.
• Friday, a drop in temperatures
After the thunderstorms of the middle of the week, a classic back -to -school time should win, with temperatures under seasonal normal. We are getting closer to a rather autumnal weather for the end of August and for early September.
Please note, despite the drop in temperatures and the return of the rain, you have to be careful about forest fires. Several areas remain in “reinforced alert” or even “in crisis” compared to drought. The Var will remain at the “high” risk stadium for fire on Monday and Tuesday, according to the forest weather.
