WhatsApp will allow you to catch up with your unrelated messages with a very practical functionality to summarize by AI.
It is very recently that WhatsApp has integrated the features of the intelligent assistant Meta AI. But we have not yet seen how the messaging application could integrate it into conversations.
Following the first tests which took place last month, WhatsApp has just officially launched the summaries of conversations by IA, just to catch up in one in click if your private and group discussions.

Meta announced it on her official blog, the summaries by IA arrive on WhatsApp. The functionality allows you to summarize all the unrelated messages of a conversation in a concise chip line.
You will be able to inform yourself on the latest subjects discussed, but also any decisions or speeches of your contacts in the discussion group. Only you will be able to access this summary, your interlocutors will not be notified that you have summarized the non -read messages.
Note that the functionality is deactivated by default, it will be necessary to activate it in the application settings to use it in your conversations. You can also select the conversations that can offer the summary by AI in advanced privacy options.
IA and privacy
The functionality exploits the so -called “private processing” method which allows WhatsApp to use Meta AI technology without any data transit by Meta servers.
A protective layer which is added to the turnover of conversations, the theory of the total confidentiality of your conversations on the application in theory.
The summaries by IA are launched from today in English and should arrive for other languages in the second half of 2025.
