WhatsApp wants to make your group discussions less confused
The application tests a new function to make many exchanges lighter.

You have joined the umpteenth group dedicated to the surprise birthday of a friend, at the bachelor party of another, or even at the school exit of the youngest … The WhatsApp groups punctuate our daily newspapers. And with them a certain blur. It is not always easy to find the news in the midst of exchanges that fuse.
WhatsApp reflects on different solutions to bring more clarity into groups, reports The media “Watson”. The developers of the application would work on new features, including summaries of conversations generated by artificial intelligence. Depending on the specialized platform Hoba function is being evaluated with “beta” testers.
Improve communication
For the time being, WhatsApp indicates only the name of a user writing in a group discussion. In the future, the service could display a mention of the type: “Two people write.”
A useful detail? According to the specialized media, this function would make it possible to better anticipate the arrival of new messages, and to assess whether it is relevant to open the conversation at that time. As a reminder, since April 2025, it is also possible to see how many members have been online on groups (without however knowing their identity).
The new function studied by the developers is part of the WhatsApp beta 2.25.20.17 for Android. It is so far reserved for testers, without announced deployment date.
