On this Canada Day, several municipal services in Quebec will operate according to a modified schedule, while others will be completely closed.

All city offices, including the Citizens’ Relation Center (311) and borough counters, will be closed on Tuesday, July 1. It is nevertheless possible to reach the City by the 311 Quebec City Mobile Application, the online form or by phone by making up 311, option 6, to access the automated information line.
The essential services, such as the police, fire protection and water treatment, will continue to operate normally, 24 hours a day. For any urgency, citizens must deal with 911. In the event of a problem concerning aqueduct networks, sewers, public lighting or the condition of the road, it is recommended to compose the 311, option 1.
The collection of garbage and recyclable materials will continue according to the usual schedule, and the city’s ecoisters will be opened while respecting their summer schedule.
Parking side, All spaces tariffed on street or out of street will be free on July 1except those located in the Parc des Champs-de-Bataille, where the parking meters will remain in force. Tolerance will also be applied in limited -time residential parking areas, as well as in restricted parking lots, except for specific license holders. It should be noted All other parking regulations remain applicable.
Construction work will be exceptionally allowed between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. in all the districts. This exception is explained by the fact that entrepreneurs in the construction sector do not benefit from public holidays on this date.
The capital’s transport network (RTC) will operate according to a schedule adapted to public holidays. The schedules can be viewed on the RTC website, via nomad tools or by phone at 418 627-2511 (option 1).
The counters of the municipal court will be closed. The offense findings and payment agreements may still be acquitted online. In criminal matters, only the files of detained persons will be processed.
THE municipal libraries will be closed for the day. Sports facilities will remain open only if activities are planned.
The city’s animal refuge, managed by the Quebec SPA, will be closed the day before Canada’s Day, on Monday, June 30, but it will open its doors the next day, Tuesday, July 1. The emergency service will remain accessible at all times.
