EThey, laughing, they are called the “bi”. Because they can assist just as well as a vernacular mass, the official liturgy, codified by Vatican Council II (1962-1965), as in a mass in Latin, with a celebrant back to the public, turned towards the East, as it was in the past. They speak of “Mass Paul VI”-the Pope of Vatican II-or “Mass Pie V”-the pontiff which applied the decrees of the Council of Trent (1545-1563). Or, for rigorists, “Novus ordo” or “Vetus ordo”.
