The return of the construction holidays took a tragic turn to Terrebonne, while a young worker aged only 21 died crushed by the bucket of a mechanical shovel, in the early afternoon.
The drama occurred a little before 1 p.m. on Florimond-Gauthier Street, which is closed to traffic due to aqueduct and repair of the road.

For a reason which is currently the subject of an investigation, the young worker would have been crushed by the imposing bucket of a mechanical shovel, under the eyes of several of his colleagues.
Very seriously injured, the young man was transported urgently to the hospital, where his death was unfortunately noted in the afternoon.
It is unclear how the bucket, the weight of which would be around two tonnes, was able to fall on the worker.

Inspectors of the standards, equity, health and labor security commission were dispatched to the site to conduct their investigation in collaboration with the police of Terrebonne.
All site workers had to be met to give their version of the facts.
