Just before its opening, a restaurant is found without tables or chairs, stolen in the middle of the night during the weekend. Managers are looking for solutions.
The terrace of the future restaurant has simply disappeared in the night.
DRWhile the Casa Casa restaurant, located on the very trendy Europaallee, was preparing to open its doors, all its terrace was robbed during the weekend. During the night from Friday to Saturday, 30 tables and 60 chairs mysteriously disappeared. “Everything has been stolen, as if by magic,” deplore managers.
Zurich municipal police confirmed that they had received a complaint. The flight occurs a few days from the inauguration scheduled for July 10. Despite the blow, one of the officials, Federico Freiermuth, intends to maintain this date. “I have to open, whatever happens,” he told “Tages Anzeiger”. According to him, the thieves had to come with a utility vehicle to take all the furniture, however secure with channels. “It is incredible that such a flight can occur in the heart of Zurich,” he adds.
A call to help that bears fruit
Faced with the emergency, the restaurant team launched a call for solidarity, soliciting anyone who can lend furniture. On LinkedIn, the call seems to have found an echo: discussions are underway to find a temporary solution by the opening. On the other hand, the call for witnesses to identify the authors of the flight or find the furniture remains, for the moment, unanswered.
