Eight indigenous cases have been detected at this stage in regions already affected by Aboriginal transmission episodes in previous years: Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Meanwhile, Corse, Occitanie and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Furthermore, Investigations and prevention and control measures are underway.

“These indigenous cases. the first symptoms of which appeared between May 27. June 19, are the earliest ever identified in France”, underlines the agency which notes “that no episode of Aboriginal transmission has been highlighted in Europe, outside of France”.
