Short but formidable stage this Saturday, August 2 on the program on the Tour de France women 2025. From Chambéry, 111.9 kilometers awaits the peloton to Saint-François-Longchamp, with no less than 3,490 meters of elevation gain. One: an entry leg with the Plainpalais pass (13.2 km at 6.3 %). If a breakaway could be formed, the passage through the Coast of Saint-Georges-d’Hurtières (4.8 km at 5.9 %) should punctuate the stage before the Grand Final and a rough battle to predict between the favorites in the yellow jersey.
The Madeleine pass (18.7 km at 8.1 %) will be the justice of the peace of this penultimate stage. With an arrival at almost 2000 meters above sea level, the third highest in the history of the Tour Women, the contenders in the general classification will compete for the Grail of the yellow jersey in this last side.

154 cyclists took the start of the Tour de France women on Saturday July 26, 2025 on the occasion of the 4th edition. From Morbihan to Haute Savoie, this new edition takes place within 9 days with an additional day compared to the previous edition. Unsurprisingly, the contenders for the final victory on this tower will be the first three of the last final ranking, namely the Polish Kasia Niewiadoma, the Dutch Demi Vollering and Pauliena Roojakkers. But this 2025 edition will be spicy by the French Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, back on the road and which hopes to shine on the big loop. Recent winner of the Tour of Italy, Elisa Longo Borghini (33) also dreams of realizing the first double in history.
The course
The first two steps are “for the Plchants”. Then, “we will have two stages for the sprinters who will make us arrive towards Poitiers. And then the middle mountain will arrive very quickly with the Massif Central, Clermont-Ferrand stage, Ambert, Bourg-en-Bresse, Chambéry then the high mountain to finish” explained the director of the Tour, Marion Rousse.
