The victim, a father in their thirties, went to Dickie-Mores park with his young children in the afternoon of August 8. The suspect was then in the park’s water games located on Beaumont avenue, in the heart of the Parc-Extension district. He would have sprayed the victim with the contents of a bottle of water in front of his children.
The father would have tried to approach the suspect, but would have been pushed to the ground by the 24 -year -old man. The latter would have gone to him several punches in the face and many knee strokes before fleeing, the police reports.
An investigation by the North Regional Investigation Section, with the support of the neighborhood 31 post, made it possible to identify the suspect on Monday morning.
“The investigation is still underway, the suspect is currently met by investigators and thereafter an accusation file will be submitted to the director of criminal and criminal proceedings (DPCP),” said the SPVM by press release.
“The SPVM would like to thank the citizens who contributed to this outcome by sending us information that facilitated the location of the suspect,” added the police force.
