New rumors hide doubts about the graphic performance of Apple’s iPhone 17 Air, with the absence of a graphic heart compared to the iPhone 17 Pro which is becoming clearer.
Apple could upset its range of iPhone 17 with a newcomer, the iPhone 17 Air. This model (which could replace the model Plus in the range) would have a finer design than what can be known with the current iPhone.
While rumors already indicated serious compromise for the future Apple smartphone which is intended to be ultra fine (whether for the photo or the battery), a new worried leak on the performance of the device, compared to the rest of the range.
More performance? Take a pro
On the Chinese site Weibo, the Leaker Fixed Focus Digital Indicates that the iPhone 17 Air would have some differences in configurations, compared to pro models.
Among the differences, there is in particular its processor: the device could be equipped with the A19 Pro of high -end models (with 12 GB of RAM), but with one less graphic heart, i.e. 5 graphic cores for the iPhone 17 Air, against 6 graphic cores for the iPhone 17 pro.
This is not the first time that the apple brand bridles the graphic part of its more “accessible” devices. The latests are the iPhone 16th with one less graphic heart for its A18, but also the iPad Mini of seventh generation and its A17 Pro this time. Apple could therefore renew the maneuver with the iPhone 17 Air.
An ultra fine format already disputed
Photo, battery, performance, and thermal dissipation … The compromises of these ultra -fine smartphones are indeed numerous, as the internal space of these devices are restricted, complicating the task of engineers.
If the iPhone 17 Air has not yet been announced, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been traveling the market for a few months already. And the least we can say is that this smartphone format does not seem to attract crowds, with the Samsung model which would be more good than expected.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to show up at the beginning of next September, alongside iPhone 17 and 17 pro, during the next Keynote of the Cupertino firm.
