A pine forest and vegetation monopolizes the forces of the Aude firefighters this Sunday morning, in the Lagrasse sector. We take stock.
The services of the Aude prefecture were alerted at 5:27 a.m. this Sunday for a brush and pine forest fire which started around 4:30 a.m. in the town of Lagrasse, in Aude. Lagrasse, south of Lézignan, and whose presence of fire trucks is particularly important this morning.
The peculiarity of this fire is that access is difficult for help who are trying somehow to make a passage. According to the cabinet of the Aude prefecture, the fire advances slowly, well helped by a wind on site of 23 km/h which avoids, for the moment, faster spread. There is no habitation in danger and its evolution is deemed favorable. 150 firefighters are on the front.
May 10 H: The burned surface is measured between 10 and 15 hectares.
May 11 H 30: The fire is now fixed. 12 hectares were burned and 210 firefighters were mobilized, including 70 from Hérault. There is no injuries.
