Each second Tuesday of the month, Microsoft deploys what is called the Tuesday patch: a big monthly update including many safety fixes. Except that the deployment of the KB5058499 update, supposed to bring the 26100.4349 version to Windows 11 users, did not take place as planned for part of the computer park.

“Certain devices in environments in which the IT department applies policies for postponing quality updates (CE) may undergo delays in the reception of the Windows security update of June 2025″communicates Microsoft. The problem therefore essentially affects companies, in which administrators can choose to receive updates a little later, in order to have time to measure their impact on PCs. This can for example avoid compatibility concerns or allow you to dodge a number of bugs.

The June Tuesday patch was long overdue on Windows 11

But this time, the reporting policies of quality updates did not work as planned. “Although the update was published on June 10, 2025, its horoditing of update metadata indicates on June 20, 2025. This difference can lead to reception of the later update than expected on the devices with configured reports”indicates Microsoft. In other words, the computers concerned receive the update 10 days after the scheduled date, due to a poor date taken in a repository.

The publisher offers two bypass solutions For those who do not wish to wait for this additional period. The first is to create an acceleration policy to bypass the postponement parameters and deliver the update immediately. To do this, the organization uses Windows Autopatch. The second is to adjust the deployment rings or deferral configurations to reduce the delay window for the apparatus concerned.
