This kit should make it possible to detect cases of HIV/AIDS, Syphilis and hepatitis B but also infections in Chlamydia and Gonococcus which have multiplied in recent years. Between 2021 and 2023, the health authorities identified an increase of +59% of gonorrhea cases in men and +46% in women as well as an upsurge of +10% of chlamydiosis in men.

These infections can remain “silent for a very long time and can have serious consequences”, warned Florence Thune, director general of Sidaction with Franceinfo, who also reaffirms the importance of “knowing the fact that we have an STS, being able to treat it is also to prevent transmission”.
