Canada Day: the festivities in Baie-Saint-Paul moved to the arena

Canada Day celebrations in Baie-Saint-Paul will finally take place inside the Luc and Marie-Claude arena on July 1, due to the planned weather conditions.

From 1 p.m., children will be able to participate in an interactive course entitled The accounts of our nation, enjoy the inflatable games, makeup, tattoos and a DIY workshop around traditional totem. Kiosks led by the Sana and Equiterre will also be on site. These activities will be offered in two blocks: from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., then from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

At 2 p.m., the Cirque Vague collective will present an ephemeral spectacle – a circus under the clouds. At 4 p.m., make room for gluttony with a tasting of cakes from Canada.

A catering and bar service will be available from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. It should be noted that no personal alcoholic drink will be tolerated on the site, and that a check will be carried out at the entrance.

The family show La Magie de la chemie, led by Yannick Bergeron, will take place from 6.30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Patriotic speeches and tribute to the flag are scheduled for 8 p.m., followed by a musical show with Geneviève Jodoin from 8:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

The fireworks, scheduled for 10 p.m. at the Saint-Aubin Park, will be maintained if the weather conditions allow.
