The former Gantoise porter, Louvain and Anderlecht does not return to Belgium. He takes the direction of Charlton and therefore remains in Championship.
He had been known for several weeks that Thomas Kaminski would not stay at Luton Town, relegated to League One, the third English level.
The former Gantoise goalkeeper, Ohl and Anderlecht had quickly attracted the interest of the standard, in search of a doorman capable of competing with Matthieu Epolo, or even to replace him in the event of departure. But the Liège track quickly cooled.
The name of Kaminski then circulated on the side of Anderlecht. The Mauves, scalded by the Dupé – Schmeichel episode, did not want to stack the guards. A departure from Colin Cosemans could have opened the door, but it should not take place.
Thomas Kaminski remains in Championship and signs in Charlton
The return of the 32 -year -old goalkeeper to Belgium therefore seemed unlikely, especially since several championship formations had positioned themselves. It was ultimately in this division that Kaminski pursues his career.
Charlton Athletic, promoted to championship via the dams, formalized his arrival. Already with 160 games at this level, Kaminski could reach the 200 bar if he keeps the cages all season.
We’re delighted to announce the permanent signing of Belgian international goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski from Luton Town for an undisclosed fee 🤝#cafc
