Eight men. Furthermore, two women are in the running to try to succeed Antonio Hodgers during the complementary election to the Council of State, the first round of which is set for September 28.
The Chancellery published the lists on Monday. Five names were already known: Xavier Magnin (The center – the green’liberals). Consequently, Nicolas WaldeR (the Greens – Socialists), Maikl Gerzner (MCG), Lionel dumerdil (UDC) and Rémy Pagani (popular union). Five other candidates outside the traditional parties are also in the race.
Anastasia-Natalia Ventouri (Ensemble for evolution) was already a candidate for the executive in 2023. but also for the Council of States the same year and for the Administrative Council of the City of Geneva during the last municipal elections. Olivier Pahud (Swiss evolution) was also a candidate in 2023 for the Council of State. Philippe Oberson (first people) was present during the last cantonal, federal and municipal elections. Rémi Baudoui (Geneva. Can do better) and Béatrice Berthet a porta (local, of course! What else!) Are also in the race.
