A new catfish attack took place at Lake Brumbachsee in Bavaria. A fish has bitten a swimmer in the arm and injured him, said a police spokesperson.
The incident occurred in the area of ​​a bathing island near Absberg on medium-converse. The island of swimming was then dismantled, said the spokesperson. The newspapers “Nürnberger Nachrichten” and “Nürnberger Zeitung” first reported the incident.
At the end of June, a catfish more than two meters long had caused a sensation on Lake Brumbach. The animal of approximately 90 kilos had attacked and injured at least five bathers near a floating island.
Second incident in a few days
The police then closed the swimming area and finally killed the fish by pulling with a service weapon to avoid other attacks, especially for a music festival which took place at the same time by the lake.
Specialists assume that the catfish defended his nesting, which could explain his unusually aggressive behavior. Normally, these fish are considered as fearful animals that are hidden in deep waters during the day.
After having been the subject of a lot of attention from the media, the two -meter fish was fully consumed in an inn in the region, divided into 120 portions of net, according to the restaurateur.
