Mage provided by the Phi center
It’s the last Montreal weekend for the exhibition-free! – Jean-Marc Vallée: Mixtape At the Phi Center. We present the story of the Quebec filmmaker, told by his collaborators and loved ones and inspired by his love for music and musical compilations that were at the center of his creative process. Mixtape is made up of four installations and a sound environment which “envelops the public throughout the route”. The exhibition will continue his journey to the Diamant performance hall, located in Quebec, from July 23.

The members of the La Chiva Gantiva group
There are only a few days left before the opening concert of the Nuits d’Afrique International Festival on Wednesday at Olympia. However, before the official kick -off given by Flavia Coelho, two intriguing strong concerts are on Tuesday. At Club Balattou, we can hear the Chiva Gantiva, which mixes its Afro-Colombian roots with funk, electro and many other kidnapping rhythms. At the same time, the ministry will receive the Sarab group which poses ancient Arab poems on music from jazz to metal via trap and dub. Two kidnapping examples of modernization of the sounds of the African continent.
July 8 at Balattou (8:30 p.m., for the Chiva Gantiva) and the ministry (9:30 p.m., for Sarab)
