A big explosion was heard in the city of Rome on Friday morning around 8 a.m., reports «Blick». According to initial information, it is an accident in the petrol station of Via Dei Giordani which would have led to detonations.

Thirty people were injured on Friday, mostly slightly during the explosion of an Essency station in Rome, the city mayor, Roberto Gualtieri, told the media. Nine members of the police and twenty other people are among the injured.
A second explosion, the strongest
A firefighter was also injured, the latter wrote on X, while many teams were used to extinguish the fire that started following the explosion that occurred shortly after eight in the morning.
According to the media, a first explosion occurred in this fuel and LPG distributor shortly before 8:20 a.m., leading to the rapid intervention of the police and firefighters, when a second explosion, the strongest, took place a few minutes later, injuring people on the spot.
Many videos circulating on the internet show large flames against the background of detonations with the fuel pump and a column of black smoke and thick rise in the sky above the eastern periphery of the city.

Police completed the neighborhood to allow firefighters to work and they also evacuated two buildings that were closest to the explosion, as well as an airy center where fifteen children were, according to the same source.
