He hopes that his teammates and the other competitors will give the best of themselves, while fully taking advantage of the experience.

It is a real honor. For me, it symbolizes the link between all sports and all the teams that will participate in the games. It is therefore an honor to have this opportunity

Women’s baseball, the first time at Canada’s summer games

The 2025 edition of Canada’s summer games will mark a first: the participation of women’s baseball.

Piper Hollywood, 15, is part of the Manitoban team and does not hide their ambitions. According to her, her team aims at the gold medal.

In addition to the 374 athletes and para-athletes, Sport Manitoba will send 64 coaches at the Canada summer games of 2025.

For Dominick Blais, one of the Manitoba coaches, this competition represents much more than a simple sporting event.

It is an experience that young people often live once in their lives. Seeing several sports and several athletes encourage each other, united in the colors of the province is very inspiring. It is an extraordinary experience for them.

During the last summer games in 2022, Manitoba won 37 medals. This year, the province hopes to do even better.

Canada’s summer games bring together more than 2,000 young athletes, many of whom live with physical or intellectual disabilities.

Organized alternately between winter and summer, games include more than 30 disciplines and celebrate sports excellence and Canadian spirit.
