Four days after a man was seriously injured in the stabbing in the city center of Fort-de-France, a suspect was arrested this Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
A 36 -year -old individual suspected of having violently assaulted a man with a stab was arrested early in the morning on Wednesday, July 23. The arrest took place in the city center of Fort-de-France, in the accommodation where he was Hébérgé. Currently in police custody, the man would have admitted the facts.
The arrest took place within the framework of a joint operation carried out by the territorial leadership of the National Police of Martinique and the forces of the Raid.
The facts date back to Saturday 19 July, around 5:20 p.m., rue Périnon in Fort-de-France. For a still inconesive motif, a man had been seriously injured in the stabbing in the street. The alleged author had fled.
Investigators from the Territorial Judicial Police Service (STPJ) quickly identified a suspect. He was able to be located and arrested four days later.
