The Quebec police officers arrested an 18 -year -old young man for a car flight after an interception operation at the entrance to the bridges on the night of Saturday to Sunday.
The agents of the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) were called around 2:45 am Sunday morning in the Beauport sector for a car flight.
The vehicle was located rolling on boulevard Champlain in the west direction to the bridges.
The police then tried to block the access suspenders near rue du Domaine-des-retités.
“It was when the police wanted to intervene with the stolen vehicle, that another vehicle would have rushed on the police,” said it by press release. They fear for their safety, one of them would have used his firearm towards the vehicle that managed to flee. ”
The suspect aboard the stolen vehicle is then arrested after a short prosecution on foot. He is an 18 -year -old young man who has remained detained and should soon appear at the courthouse.

The other driver who rushed to the police is still wanted and could notably face an accusation of armed assault.
“In many cases, there are at least two individuals to make these kinds of flights,” said SPVQ Sandra Dion spokesperson.
A security perimeter is still in force in the sector to allow investigators to do their work.
