Because unlike conventional mosquitoes, this one plays in another category. He can transport with him tropical virus Like dengue, chikungunya or zika.
These diseases, formerly confined to exotic areas, now find a way to discreetly enter metropolitan France. All this because of this insect. And I swear, its rapid proliferation seriously worries the French health authorities.
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes: the most threatened city
Among the most affected areas, the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Aura) is the first of the class. In 2024, Public Health France noted a record of cases imported from arboviroses: exactly 274.
