An Audi brand racing car was flashed at 282 km/h instead of 130 km/h on the A42 motorway, near Dagneux (Ain). Its driver was placed in police custody by the gendarmes.
It seems to be a French record. The driver of a powerful Audi brand sports car was arrested for driving at a speed of 282 km/h on the A42 motorway, east of Lyon on Wednesday August 13. The Departmental Road Safety Squadron of Ain intercepted the driver in the town of Dagneux, while it exceeded the authorized speed more than twice, on this portion limited to 130 km/h.
The racing car of several hundred horses, registered in Switzerland, was immediately placed in pounds, as provided for in the law in terms of speeding. The driver who did not hold a driving license was arrested and placed in police custody.
