A Franco-Canadian couple is robbed 350,000 euros in jewelry on the Aix-Paris train

A Franco-Canadian couple was the victim of a spectacular flight aboard a TGV on Sunday, July 27, according to BFMTV. While they were traveling in first class between Aix-en-Provence and Paris, their luxury jewelry-a rolex, a Cartier bracelet, a Beers pendant, necklaces and rings set with diamonds-were stolen for a loot estimated at 350,000 euros.

The thieves, a man and a woman, settled discreetly behind them before stealing a Louis Vuitton bag placed under a seat. The duo left the train during a stop in Avignon, letting the victim discover the disappearance of his setting too late.

Survey from video surveillance

The owner’s companion spoke to the channel a much more symbolic loss than financial and stresses that no insurance will cover this theft. A complaint was filed in Paris. Investigators are based on video surveillance images to try to identify the authors, while the SNCF and the prosecution concerned have not yet reacted.

According to the complaint consulted by BFMTV, Alexandra N. believed to feel “something brushing against her leg” shortly after the leaving the train, without imagining that it was the current flight. It is only alerted by a passenger witness to the suspicious behavior of the two individuals that she made, too late, the extent of the flight.
