It could be a scene from the film Les Rivières Pourpres with its atrociously mutilated corpses. But the macabre discovery does not have a fictitious city for decor but a very real Picardy village, in this case that of Pont-de-Metz, 2,500 inhabitants, a few kilometers from Amiens (Somme).
According to our information, confirmed by police and judicial sources, a body slaughtered and eviscerated was found this Monday morning around 7 am, by a walker on a sports area. The body was in the cross position, as if the author of the crime wanted to make a staging.
“Expanded observations”
The first investigations made it possible to determine that the victim would be a 32 -year -old man, without knowing if it is a person in the region. A judicial investigation was opened for “voluntary homicide” by the Amiens prosecutor’s office, entrusted to the judicial police.
This Monday, at the beginning of the afternoon Monday, around twenty police officers were still hard at work to rattle a path lined with thickets, in search of clues. “Expanded observations”, breathes a police source, before the ribs prohibiting access to the area is lifted.
