10 h 30. It’s the big day of the Tour de France in Chinon! The atmosphere of a big popular party is already palpable on site this morning. But many spectators, sometimes from afar, were already present yesterday on the verge of Vienna to attend the start of the stage. We met some with a little advance. The legendary caravan is expected at 11:10 a.m. different animations allow the crowd to wait.
The activities of the Tour de France are concentrated around the fictitious starting line, near the Place Jeanne-d’Arc and the walks of doctors-mattrais.

By crossing the departments of Indre-et-Loire, Vienne and Indre, the peloton of this large loop will make 174.1 km between Chinon and Châteauroux, a high place of the sprint dear to a certain Mark Cavendish, three times winner avenue de la Châtre. With a fictitious departure scheduled at 1:10 p.m. and the real departure which will be given fifteen minutes later.
