Starting from Duden Park in 2023, Siebe Van der Heyden could make a comeback in Jupiler Pro League. The Gantoise is in negotiations with the central defender of Mallorca.
After having spent four seasons under the colors of the Saint-Gilloise Union, Siebe Van der Heyden, just selected for the first (and unique) times with the Red Devils, wanted to discover one of the five major European championships.
It was in Mallorca that the former central defender of Ostende, passed by the training centers of the Bruges and Anderlecht club, put his suitcases. But he never really managed to win in Liga. After only thirteen appearances in just over a year, he was loaned to Sankt-Pauli at the end of last season.
Siebe van der Heyden to the Gantoise?
Back in Mallorca, Siebe Van der Heyden is now looking for a new challenge … and could make his comeback in Jupiler Pro League. According to information from Het Nieuwsbladdiscussions would be underway with the Gantoise, who would have even already made a first offer to the Spanish club.
This offer has been refused, but negotiations are continuing. The Ivan Leko Buffalos are looking for reinforcements in all positions, and the 27 -year -old has a profile that checks several boxes. For his part, Mallorca wishes to separate from an element little used, although always under contract until 2028.
This is not the first time that Siebe Van der Heyden has been close to a return to Belgium. Last season, Anderlecht had thought of him, but the former Union did not wish to join the Rival club. This time, the Gantoise seems to hold the rope … and could well receive its favors.
