During the meeting of Monday, June 23, elected officials from the agglomeration community of the Château-Thierry region voted a reduction
5 euros on the semi -annual waste collection rates (10 € per year), and this from the next semester.
At the same time, the bonus for less than 12 annual liftings, which has already been increased by € 5 at the start of the year, will once again be upgraded by 5 euros reaching 25 euros now.
This concrete gesture testifies to a strong will of the agglomeration: to reconcile budgetary rigor and justice justice. It reflects a simple but essential reality: when management is healthy, fair and rigorous, the agglomeration can directly give users the fruits of the efforts undertaken.
While the agglomeration has initiated a vast project to straighten its finances, this decision illustrates the will of community elected officials
To determine the fairest prices, without creating deficits or unnecessary surpluses.
Sébastien Eugène, president of the Carct underlines: “We regularly hear that elected officials increase the prices to fill the deficits but never lower them to redistribute the excess. This is proof of the opposite! »»
