France Work: The most sought after professions in Aisne

The study has a double vocation: anticipate recruitment tensions and orient job seekers towards suitable training while drawing up a mapping of promising professions by department.

In Hauts-de-France, at the regional level, France Work lists 157,690 recruitment projects, including a substantial share of positions that are difficult to provide (44.5%) and a significant proportion of seasonal positions (28.6%). The Department of Aisne is among the territories where requests remain high, with 13,080 projects listed.

The most promising professions in the Aisne are concentrated around four families: winegrowers and arboriculturers, farmers and cooking aids and versatile catering employees. This last category also appears as one of the engines of the local labor market, reflecting an economic activity turned towards services and food.

Shortage and seasonality mark recruitment projects in the department

The large share of positions considered to be “difficult” in the Aisne is estimated at 40.8%, while the share of seasonal workers reaches 49.6%. This high seasonality suggests continuity of needs during periods of harvesting and agricultural activity, but also pressure on support and training systems for job seekers. For the neighboring department and the other basins in the region, the most promising trades vary, however, ranging from catering, agriculture and services to more technical areas such as IT or the arts and spectacle sector in certain territories.

In summary, Aisne presents a dynamic marked by agricultural professions and catering as the main job vectors, with a high share of seasonal positions and positions that are difficult to provide. The complete results of the survey and the targeted advice for training appears to be key tools to align the skills of the inhabitants with the needs of companies, in a logic of support for local employment and professional transition.
