Installed natively on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, the final version of One UI 8 is not yet ready to work on other Samsung smartphones. Thus in this month of July 2025, the Galaxy S25 benefited from yet another update limited to simple safety fixes.
One UI 8 is long overdue on the Galaxy S25, Samsung favors safety
After one UI 7, the updates continue to rain at Samsung (but not one UI 8). Always tackling the safety of its users, the South Korean firm has just deployed new patch on its latest non-folding high-end models, the Galaxy S25.
SamMobile has indeed reported that the security update of July 2025 is being deployed in South Korea on the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra … but also the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra. It would therefore still be necessary to wait a few days before seeing the update arrive in Europe.
In the meantime, we already know what has been corrected. The safety patch first includes 22 Google correctives, including a critical vulnerability and high level 21. Samsung has filled 18 security flaws:
- 1 Critique linked to its smartphones processors, without specifying the models concerned
- 17 Others concerning its ONE UI overlay and its Galaxy devices, including flaws in the safety system KnoxVaultGalaxy connected watches, Bluetooth, WiFi password sharing, Samsung account and emergency SOS function
It is therefore time to update your smartphone Galaxy S25 or Galaxy S24 to protect your personal data in the face of these multiple vulnerabilities. To find out if the security patch of July 2025 is available:
- Open the application Parameters
- Access the section Software update
- Tap the button Download and installation
So your smartphone will look for the latest versions available. If nothing is displayed, this means that the update is not yet available – it will then be necessary to wait a few more days to take advantage of it.
